Essay

The work has been devoted to the study of polarimetric properties of objects with isotropic depolarization and the optimization of Mueller-polarimeter elements parameters for measurements of different anisotropy objects. As the result, methods for obtaining exact anisotropy values from experimental Mueller matrices have been developed. Also, the criteria of the polarization classes are created basing on the experimentally obtained Mueller matrix. The classification hierarchy has been built on the polarization properties. The influence of dynamic Mueller-polarimeter elements parameters on the experimental error for both complete and incomplete Mueller matrices measurement methods has been studied. All theoretical assumptions were experimentally studied. Interaction models between polarized electromagnetic radiation with objects have been investigated in case of depolarization presence. Methods of determination anisotropy parameters basing on experimental Mueller matrices have been developed. Analysis ofthe characteristic matrix of dynamic Mueller-polarimeter has been conducted to improve its performance.
