Essay

The dissertation covers the problems of electrochemical methods for corrosion rate determination - the linear and non linear polarization methods.The new method of nonlinear double polarization (NDP) for corrosion current determination in double-electrode circuit under diffusion and passivation control was offered. It was shown this method gives the reliable results and allows estimate the efficiency of corrosion inhibitors and passivators in neutral solutions. The metrological evaluation of corrosion rate, measuring by the polarization resistance method, has been carried out. The draft standard model of corrosivity was offered.
