Essay

The object of researches - processes of synthesis of silicon nitride, phase- and structure formation while production of silicon carbide refractories on the silicon nitride binder; the research purpose - development of technology and introduction of production in Ukraine of competitive refractory products of different type sizes from silicon carbide on the silicon nitride binder; vethods of researches - petrographic, roentgen-phase, chemical and electron-microscopic methods of analysis and standartized research techniques of refractories properties; theoretical and practical results - abilities of increase of reaction fullness of silicon nitride formation during simultaneous decrease of final temperature of synthesis were scientifically proved and the production technology of silicon carbide refractories on the silicon nitride binder of different type sizes was developed; novelty - mechanisms of influence of activated silicon, intensifying additions, temporary binders and multistage regimes of firing,as well as fluidifying additions on structure and phase formation during firing of silicon carbide refractories on the silicon nitride binder in the range of temperatures 1350-1450 °С were established; the extent of introduction - the developed technology was introduced in Ukraine at OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy", where the outlet of silicon carbide refractories on the silicon nitride binder of different type sizes is realized; sphere of application - silicon carbide refractories on the silicon nitride binder are used in thermal aggregates of metallurgy and engineering industry where work is connected with thermal cycling, abrasive wear, contact with molten salts, slags, non-ferrous metals.
