Gurko М. Category of intensity in modern German phraseology (on material of phraseological units of the thematic group "intellectual properties of man")

Subject - specific realization of the category of intensity of attribute of phraseological units denoting intellectual abilities of a man in modern German language. Aim - to identify the place and role of the category of intensity of the phraseological units denoting IAM attribute in modern German language as well as to find out mechanisms of it's creation and modification. Methods - descriptive, lexico-graphic, diachronic, methods of component analysis and phraseological recognition. Scientific innovation - for the first time it was identified and described the semantic category "intensity of attribute display" altogether with further extrapolation of its essential abilities to the ways of realization by means of modern German language within IAM thematic group. Theoretic value is signified by the linguistic status of the category of intensity. It has also been proved that general principles and approaches to the subject of dissertation should deepen and broaden scientific knowlege about cognitive-semantic organization and communicative-functional potential of the phraseolohical units of modern German language. Practical value - the dissertation and its researches could be used during the academic process at the universities specialized in general linguistic, lexicology and stylistics, as well as for the courses covering phraseology and cognitive linguistic problems, for diploma papers of Germanic students.
