Brekhynets' N. Education Establishments in Ukraine in the 50-80s of the 20th Century. Historiography.

The complex historiographic analysis of published sources about the activities of educational establishments in Ukraine in the 50-80s of the 20th century is made in the thesis. Classification of historical sources regarding secondary and vocational schools, specialized secondary and higher education establishments is presented. Stages of accumulation of knowledge on the problem are grounded. The condition and completeness of research is determined, its characteristic features are found out, the factors which affected growth of knowledge about educational establishments are emphasized. The historiographic estimate of the educational establishments reform, the effectiveness of teaching and educational process is given, the condition of material basis of education of students and pupils is determined. The sources regarding the language situation in educational establishments are analyzed, attention to the scientific research dealing with the participation of academics in Ukrainian national and liberation movement of the 60-80s of the 20th century is paid. Unexplored or not adequately explored aspects of the problem are described, proposals as to the further investigations are grouded.
