The dissertation examines and discloses the main principles of Zen-Buddhism and of the philosophy of the outstanding Japanese Zen thinker Dogen Kigen (1200-1253). It is demonstrated which conceptual transformations within the marks of Buddhism motivated the birth of the Zen philosophy and it is proven than the claim of Dogen to transmit the True Dharma of Buddha Sakyamuni is provided with sane foundations. In this light are analised the original conceptions of the philosophy of Dogen: mu-bussho, genjo-koan, uji and so forth.
