Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the analysis of Balkan policy of Russian empire in the beginning of the XX th century, it's influence over destiny of the South Slavonic countries, role of Balkan regional crises in definition of positions and policy of leading countries of Europe and Russia. Investigated position of Russian political direction, its programmes and diplomatical activity towards Balkan countries during 1908-1913, directed to ensure its national interests in the region, in particular, change of status of Black Sea straits Bosporus and Dardanelles. Followed influence by inside and outside factors over changes of foreign course of tsar's government. Investigated diplomatical actions of Russia directed to unite Slavonic countries of Balkan region and to orient their foreign policy on Russia. Elucidated foreign policy of Russian empire on the eve, during of Balkan wars 1912-1913, and followed the influence by their results over international situation in Europe on the eve of World War I.
