The research object is technology of modification of linen fibre by a mechanical method on the cotton-spinning equipment; the obtaining of linen fibre with homogeneous fisiko-mechanical properties is the purpose of researches, intended for its use in cottonspinning; theoretical and experimental methods are used, in particular: measuring-metric methods of research of linen fibre in accordance with the operating State standards; mathematical statistics for the experimental data processing (criteria for verification of hypothesis about the normal division of general data, criteria of comparison of two middle and dispersions of normal general data, similar criteria which do not depend on the division of general data); the method of the planning of the second order; developed technology for the obtaining of homogeneous linen fibre due to smoothing of fisiko-mechanical indexes during processing. The technology has passed the approbation and entered Open Joint Venture „Kherson Cotton Mill" with a positive result. The region of the use is a cotton-spinning factory; uses of technology for the obtaining of the homogeneous modified linen fibre which is necessary for making mixed yarn and creating the competitive assortment.
