Bozhydarnyk N. Regional asymmetry in the European Union and mechanism of its regulation

Regional asymmetrys adjustment process at local, national and, and supranational levels within the pale of megaregional economic union. Complex research of mechanisms and instruments of regional asymmetrys adjustment in European Union through the implementation necessity of most effective from it into now existent in Ukraine regional model. Methods: dialectical, historic-logical and system approaches, comparative analysis, gravitational, system of statistic methods, economic-mathematical modeling. It was considered contemporary theoretical approaches of global regional analysis (European cities competitions, new regionalism, cyclic region sensitiveness etc.). It was defined, that the main reinforcing causes of regional asymmetrys in world are production factors motion unevenness, sharpening of local firms and multinational corporations. It was substantiated the necessity of modernization for regional proportions research instruments owing to consummation of new synthetic indexes: coefficient of speed asymmetry, demoeconomical cluster and others. It was defined peculiarities of regional dynamics in Ukraine. European mechanisms and regional asymmetrys adjustment instruments adapted to Ukraine conditions were offered reasoning from expectative country participation in joint European economic space.
