The thesis is dedicated to the complex investigation of historiography of history of Polish national minority in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialistic Republic (USSR) in 1920-1930th. The works of home and foreign historiography which analyzed the peculiarities of social, political, cultural and educational development of Polish national minority in the USSR in 1920-1930th were found and systematized. It was proved that Soviet interwar historiography had clear propagandistic trend, losing the last remains of science similarity in the middle of the 1930th. The investigations of Polish national minority were fully prohibited in the Soviet Union until the 2d half of 1980th. It was clarified that the study of Polish ethnical minority in the USSR/Soviet Union as well as the Bolshevik's policy towards it had found their researchers in the II Richpospolyta - the accepted name of Polish state in interwar period in the official historiography. The investigations were conducted not only by scientific establishment (Institute of national affairs (Warsaw) and its affiliated branch - Committee of investigation of Polish minority conditions in Soviet Union), but also by the independent researchers of Soviet ethnical policy (L. Zelenevskyi, M. Kovalevskyi and others). There were no systematical investigations of the history of above mentioned period in Polish People's Republic (PPR), though they had more liberal work conditions than their Soviet colleagues, instead Polish scientists directed their efforts in the fields of history of Polish communist emigration to the Soviet Union, Polish communist press and others. Some Ukrainian authors (Ya. Dashkevych) delved into the Polish historiography, placing in Polish periodicals their own investigations dedicated to the Polish press in the USSR in 1920-1930th.
