Essay

3. 3. The dissertation presents the results of studying the functional activity of monooxygenase complex in liver under N-nitrosodiethylamine -induced hepatocarcinogenesis in rats. The changes in content of total and reduced cytochrome P-450 and cytochrome b5 as well as in activity of NADH cytochrome b5 - reductase, para-aniline hydroxylase and benzphetamine dimethylase were found to have a phase character and depend on carcinogenesis stage. Significant decrease in content of constitution isoforms of cytochrome P-450 and expression of IA1 were observed at the initiation –promotion as well as progression stages of hepatocarcinogenesis. It was shown that retinol acetate and ascorbic acid did not posses with defense action but shortened the latent period of tumor output under condition of N- nitrosodiethylamine-caused disturbance in liver functions.
