The interaction of the components in the ternary systems {Pr, Sm, Dy, Tm}-Сu-Ge and {Sm, Dy, Tm}-Cu-Sb was investigated by means of X-ray phase, X-ray structural and partially microstructure and local X-ray spectral analyses and the isothermal sections of their phase diagrams at 870 K (for Pr-Сu-Ge in the region 0.5-1.0 at. fraction of Pr at 670 K) were constructed in whole concentration regions. The ranges of the solid solutions based on binary compounds and the homogeneity ranges of ternary phases were determined. The existence of 15 ternary compounds was confirmed, the compositions of 10 - specified and 8 new ternary germanides and antimonides were synthesized in the investigated systems. 7 new antimonides were found in the related systems R-Cu-Sb. The crystal structures were determined for 28 compounds; the structural parameters of 3 compounds with homogeneity ranges were refined at different compositions. The crystal structure of the PrCu2Ge2 germanide was determined by single crystal method. The synthesized compounds crystallize in 11 structure types, one of which is new. The crystal structures of R3Cu20+xSb11-x (R = Nd, Sm, Gd, Y, Dy, Tb, Ho, Er, Tm) compounds, which rystallize in new Dy3Cu20+xSb11 x (x = 2) structure type were determined by powder method. Two new epresentatives of the ErFe4Ge2 (Low temperature modification) structure type were found. They exist in wide temperature interval.
