Subject of research: formation of 30 kH wheeled- tractor live-axle failures caused by insufficient fatigue life. Aim of research: to develop up-to-date software in order to ensure forecasting and to provide long service life of 30 kH wheeled- tractor live axles with the account of random operational loadings. Methods of research: The theoretical part employs methods for solving differential equations, the theory of flexibility together with the final-element analysis, the theory of relativity, and mathematical statistics. The experimental part employs the tensometrical method. Equipment: Pentium - 3,6 MHz, 512 Mb OZU, Windows 2000, Office 2000. Theoretical and practical results. Correlation between probable non-failing service-life of the live axle and its structural elements has been revealed. Dependencies between the pattern of loading on live-axle housing beam and operational loadings have been experimentally deduced. Regularities in accumulating defects in axle and semi-axle housings have been identified. The dependence describing the loading on axle drive pinion at second and third gear has been specified. Characteristics and values of planet-carrier deformation have been determined, which will result in satellite axle fall-out. Implementation level. Results of investigations performed have been implemented and are being used in designing at Kharkiv Tractor Plant, plc. (Kharkiv, Ukraine). Field: tractor-manufacturing.
