Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the complex studying of the policy of France, Great Britain and the USA in 1917-1920 as concerning the national political system of Ukraine. The archives papers, memoirs, the materials of the periodicals of home and foreign historiography had been analyzed in the work. They gave the possibility to prove with conviction that this theme remained scantily explored in the Ukrainian historical science. The process of scientific working out the problem by the scientists of Diaspora and modern Ukrainian investigators had seen revealed in the work. Its results had been determined, systematized, analyzed and estimated. The theoretical continuity in the limits of the chosen themes between Ukrainian foreign historiography, in which the studying of the problem had already started since the 1920es and the latest home historiography, which had been formed at the beginning of the 1990es had seen demonstrated. A number of questions which need further studying and scientific interpretation had been outlined. It was established that the developed here ideological-political struggle exerted substational negative influence upon the developed of Ukrainian foreign historiography, which was created in the emigration (with time - in Diaspora). The main interpretation of the national liberation movement of 1917-1920es were formed under its influence during the 20es - 30es of the XXth century, and in the limits of the last interpretations in its turn the conceptions of the history of the Ukrainian revolution and international attitudes of Ukraine were formed.
