The results of investigation of spectral properties of multilayer interference systems with two and three component symmetrical periods are generalized, general rules of influence of period structure on the spectral properties are obtained, the synthesis methods of different wideband filters are proposed. General solutions for synthesis problems of multilayer interference structures with wide transmission bands, which are formed by suppressing of any neighbour bands of high reflection, are found. The expressions for determination of parameters of multilayer systems (number of layers, refractive indexes and thicknesses) are presented. These systems are characterized by transmission spectra with three suppressed neighbouring bands of high reflection. The influence of dispersion of material optical constants on spectral characteristics is investigated and synthesis methods with consideration of dispersion characteristics are proposed. The method of background radiation suppression of interference filtersare proposed.
