Essay

Bisphenols on the basis of 2,6-di-tret-butylphenols. Homogeneous catalytic process of obtaining the bisphenols on the basis of 2,6-di-tret-butylphenol and studying the main kinetic characteristics of the condensation reaction of 2,6-di-tret-butylphenol with formaldehyde. Chemical synthesis, kinetics, spectrophotometry, chemiluminescence. The optimal conditions of obtaining the methylene bisphenols have been found; the homogeneous base catalytic condensation reaction of 2,6-di-tret-butylphenol with formaldehyde has been established to be of the general second order; the dependence of the reaction rate on the temperature has been studied as well as the energy of activation (40,8 kJ/mole) has been calculated. The thermodynamic of 2,6-di-tret-butylphenol and 4,4 -metylen-bis-2,6-di-tret-butylphenol as well as of their mixtures solubility in the polar and non-polar organic solvents depending on the solvent nature and temperature have been investigated. The heat of their solubility has been determined. Themethods of the quantitative determination of bisphenol and dialkylphenol have been proposed. Sphere of use - petrochemistry, biology.
