Essay

The thesis is devoted to complex treatment of diphtheria using low-intensity laser irradiation. Basing on clinical and laboratory data the positive influence of complex laser therapy treatment on diphtheria course severity, on frequency of complications, on metabolic disorders, on antioxidative enzymatic activity, cell and humoral immunity, including local secretory, on adaptational disorders has been established. As a result of such complex treatment - the total time of staying in hospital has been reduced. A new method of diphtheria treatment by irradiation of the oral cavity, submaxillary lymphatic glands and projections of large blood vessels using helium-neon and infrared low-intensity laser has been worked out and investigated.
