Essay

Results of investigations of crops in 14 cereal-sowing regions of Ukraine for occurrence of viruses infecting cereal crops are summarized in the thesis. For the first time for the territory of Ukraine, we detected soil-borne viruses transmitted by fungi Polymyxa graminis, namely Wheat spindle streak mosaic bymovirus (WSSMV), Barley mild mosaic bymovirus (BaMMV), Wheat soil-borne mosaic furovirus (SBWMV), and Cereal soil-borne mosaic furovirus (SBCMV); the last pathogen was detected more often comparing to the others.
