Essay

This dissertation research covers an important topic for the modern science of Theory of State and Law which is induced by the appearing of the new branch of law - Space Law. It is an attempt to solve the problem of establishing and development of Space Law via comprehensive analysis of the provisions of international and national space law and their application. Societal relations appearing in the process of carrying on of activities in the exploration and use of outer space and constituting the subject of space law are analysed; a community of subjects of mentioned societal relations are defined and their features are scrupulously investigated, as well as foreign experience of regulation of space relations, a degree of co-ordination of national legislation with international law, and its harmonisation with the provisions of international and European space law. In this paper, new theoretical theses are posed, essence of a number of notions, terms and terminology expressions which are of significant importance for theory and practices are specified, and trends for further improvement of Ukrainian space legislation are defined.
