Marmazova L. Poetics of T. Stoppard's Postmodernist Intellectual Drama.

The objects are T.Stoppard's postmodernist intellectual dramas "Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead" and "The Invention of Love", as well as "The Real Inspector Hound", "Travesties", "The Real Thing", "Arcadia", "Indian Ink". The aim is to reveal the originality of poetics of T.Stoppard's postmodernist intellectual drama. Methods are postmodernist, comparative, comparative historical, typological. The development of intellectualism in the European literature starting with the Enlightenment period is outlined. It is proved that T.Stoppard's postmodernist drama accumulates the features of the new type of intellectualism. T.Stoppard's intellectual drama is analyzed in three main aspects - the peculiarities of the artistic world and the concept of hero; intertextuality; and the principle of play. The sphere of use is educational process.
