Essay

On the basis of detailed clinical-epidemiological investigation with consideration of absorbed dose and age at the time of exposure structure and risks of development of endocrine and genital systems' diseases in females evacuated from 30-km zone and Prypiat city were determined. Persons exposed at prepubertal and pubertal periods had higher and dose-dependent risks of functional disturbances (ovary dysfunction, розлади menstrual cycle disorders). Females exposed at pubertal and reproductive periods had the highest prevalence of acquired hypothyroidism, thyroiditis, benign neoplasms of womb. Peculiarities of morpho-functional changes in the hormone producing cells of ovary and adenohypophysis were studied experimentally in rates females at the remote terms after one-shot external irradiation by 1.0 Gy depending on the period puberty at the time of exposure. In the females with hirsutism syndrome against the background of polycystic ovaries syndrome, evacuated from 30-km zone of Chornobyl NPP at the age of prepuberty and puberty imbalances in the systems of sex and thyroid hormones were found, leading to hyperandrogenia. An optimal complex of hirsutism syndrome treatment was developed, directed to systemic renewal of hormonal balance and local epilation by means of modern laser technology.
