Smogorzhevska I. Ukrainian historical bibliography (end of the XIX th century - 1939): the establishing and development.

The dissertation presents a complex research of the establishing and development of historical bibliography on Ukrainian lands from the late XIX century till 1939. Modern periodization of the development of historical bibliography in Ukraine is substantiated. A number of unknown works of scholars, which contributed to the coverage of the obscure periods of Ukrainian history, are revealed. The activity and achievements of cultural educational societies, research institutions, groups, libraries and Ukrainian scholars aimed at the development of Ukrainian historical bibliography are presented. The achievements of Ukrainian bibliography as a resource basis of the development of historical science are highlighted.
