Object of research - technology of blast furnace melting by the introduction of fine coke in the ferrous ore layer of the burden. Purpose of research - the perfection of the technology of blast furnace melting by the introduction of fine coke in the ferrous ore layer of the burden and estimation of its influence on a gas permeability of the ferrous ore layer of the burden. Methods of research - analytical research and physical modeling, carrying out of balance experimental-industrial melting, compiling of material thermal balance. Practical value - the way of fine coke loading in ferrous ore layer of the burden is advanced. It is offered to use a vibrational screen instead of barrel one on a site of fine coke sowing. The proposal about more than 80 mm fraction isolation is taken into account by the institute "UkrGipromez" at the fulfillment of the working documentation and the technical and economic basis. Scientific novelty - for the first time it is offered to use the index "reduced stuff porosity" for the change of gas pressure loss estimation. The ideas about the requirements to the fine coke fractional composition are advanced. The idea about fine coke consumption influence on "dry zone" gas permeability has received its further development. The results are applied in the Open Joint Stock Society "EMP" blast shops. Application sphere - blast-furnace plants in the metallurgical Works.
