Object - animals of Ukrainian beef breed, including Pridniprovskiy type (PM-1) and Chernichivskiy (ChM-1) interbreed types. Purpose - assessment of the main selection criteria for female by their own performance and beef sires by their daughters production. Methods - zootechnical, statistical. Novelty - the selection index for beef cattle in which are enclosed first calved age, milk ability, live weight and safety posterity performance has been improved. It Is received new given about reduction of the first calved age, increasing milk ability and reduction of the period of the productive use cows dependent when increase the body weight heifers. Results of researches - are used in practice scientific process and research work. Branch - animal industries.
