Object: the French foreign policy concerning the Near East; the aims: to study the process of the policy course formation and pursue as for the Egypt (in 1840-1882); methods: generalization, logical and historical analysis, content-analysis, statistical method, problem-chronological method, structural-comparative method, system-analytical method; the new approach lies in well founded periodization of the main steps of the France policy concerning the Egypt, traced the development of France's foreign policy concerning the Egypt and main reasons of arising of the France's "Egyptian" policy, studied the struggle of opinions and views of Quai d'Orsay leaders in questions of had influence in Nile valley, showed the influence of France's political failure in Europe to the French-English relations in Egypt; results: the main ideas and generalizations are introduced into educational process of pedagogical university; the field is the World History
