Object: economic and legal and administrative system of organization and protection of land resources of populated areas of Ukraine. Goal: the basis of theoretical and methodical working out of forming the mechanisms of public administration of land resources of populated areas of Ukraine in the market conditions. Methods: comparative and structural analysis of statistical groups, functional analysis, systematic analysis, economic and mathematical analysis. Results: the conception bases of forming the organizational and legal mechanisms of public administration of land resources of populated areas are grounded. Usage: for the improvement of the territorial organization in the protection of land resources of populated areas at the regional level.
