Essay

The dissertation is the first in Ukrainian and foreign literary studies integrated research genre-stylistics models of modern Turkish novel. The thesis researches the genesis of genre-stylistics peculiarities of Turkish novel in 20th century. The novels are analyzed in the broad cultural and literary context. These models are characterized in connection with postmodernist tendencies in contemporary literature. Postmodern tendencies are especially evident in the complicated narrative structure of the analyzed novels, considering the stressed subjectivity of the narrative mode and the metanarrative comments. There is combination of objective and subjective narratives, introspection, playing with the recipient's consciousness and productive intertexture. The work systematically explores the dominant stylistic models of contemporary Turkish novel. These models are detective, fantastic, philosophical, family-novel represented by Orhan Pamuk, Metin Kachan, Latife Tekin, Pynar Kur.
