Essay

Dissertation covers the problem of increasing the efficacy of treatment of patients with breast cancer (BC) II-III stage, by including cryodestruction of tumour and postoperative immunotherapy with cryoassociated peptides (CAP) into the combined treatment, and studying of some immunological responses associated with cryosurgical operations. It was shown, that an accumulation of glycopeptides with MM. 12 kDa occurs in the tumour's tissue as a result of cryodestruction. The practice of using those peptides for adjuvant treatment of patients with BC has shown their ability to improve the results of treatment and to decrease the frequency of relapses and metastasis in 40 %, and also to cause a specific immune response in the form of reaction of delayed-type hypersensitivity and the formation of specific antibodies to CAP.
