Essay

The objects are amphi-PIC J-aggregates and dyes DiO, DiI, DiD. Aim: to define microscopic origin of excitonic excitation in amphi-PIC J-aggregates; to find a structure of the J-aggregates; to determine features of energy transfer on the trap in nanosize systems. Results, novelty: it has been found a structure of amphi-PIC J-aggregates; photo-induced reorganization of single amphi-PIC J-aggregate molecular packing was discovered; for the first time local excitonic states in J-aggregates were disclosed; energy transfer in nanosized systems has been investigated; it has been found that short-wavelength part of J-band is formed by delocalized excitons and its long-wavelength edge is formed by localized excitonic states; it has been shown that ori-gins of self-trapped states are delocalized excitons. The fields of implementation are excitonic physics, purposeful development of nanoclusters with controlled optical properties; creation of novel luminescennt probes for molecular biology and exploration of photoprocesses in biological objects.
