Essay

The dissertation is devoted to optimization of technology of smelting of metals and alloys in conditions of the plasma-arc scull melting. The contemporary state-of-the-methods of special electrometallurgy of steels and alloys of responsible purposes, pure metals and alloying elements surveyed, and necessity of performance of work is proved. It is shown, that for smelting of special steels and the alloys alloyed rare-earth and alkaline-earth metal it is expedient to apply the plasma-arc scull melting in furnaces with ceramic bottom plate, and to pure metals and alloys -plasma-arc scull melting in a cooper water-chilled mold -is necessary Key words: plasma-arc scull melting; ceramic bottom plate; cooper water-chilled mold; special steels and alloys, rare-earth refractory metals
