Essay

The open resonant systems with inhomogeneous and diffraction radiation oscillators are under consideration. The main goal is the designed of the new types of high Q-factor open resonators for vacuum and semiconducting oscillators of millimeter and submillimeter waves. The methods are UHF vector measurements. For the first time the two- and three-mirrors traveling-wave open resonators have been designed and applied to excite the diffraction radiation oscillators. The effect of the resonant increasing of modes Q-factor in open resonators with one and two conducting cylindrical inserts has been confirmed experimentally. The method of equivalent circuit parameters determination for open resonator with radiation losses in coupling port has been proposed. The resonance behavior of the radiation losses and the excitation efficiency of open resonators have been revealed
