The object of the investigation is the literary theo-retical context of network literature, presented by works of E.J.Aarseth, J.D.Bolter, G.P.Landow, A.Kroker, P.Lahnem, M.Bernstein, N. Trigg, M.McLuhan, and fictional works by M.Joyce, J.Morissey anf L.Telly, B.K.Stefans, A. de Cam-pos, R.Nowakowski, A.Robert, S.Schuty, O.Kotsarev. The aim of the dissertation is to in-vestigate the typology and poetics of network lit-erary works on the basis of western literary theory. The practical value of the research relies in the possibility to use the obtained results for courses of literary theory in the higher educational institu-tions, and in the investigations of more specialized problems.
