Konstantinova O. Static possessive verbs with the meaning of negation un the German and Ukrainian languages.

The research focuses on the semantics of the static possessive verbs with the meaning of negation in the German and Ukrainian languages. The lexical units under analysis comprising the integral semantic components: "state", "negation", "possession", are used for the reflection of the situations of "not possession" and "lacking something". The syntactical distribution, semantic combinability and stylistic characteristics of the static possessive verbs with the meaning of negation have been taken into account. The componential and transformational analyses have made it possible to distinguish differential semes within the semantic structure of the verbs under study and to classify them into corresponding lexico-semantic groups. The study of the static possessive verbs with the meaning of negation enabled us to establish their common and distinctive characteristic features in the German and Ukrainian languages. With the data obtained there has been created a complex model of comparative study of possessive verbs in languages with the different structures.
