Zhurzha I. Becoming and development of Slavic philology in University of Sainted Vladimir (1834-1919).

Dissertation is devoted research of becoming and development of Slavic philology in University of Sainted Vladimir: to determination of the basic stages of forming of Slavic philology, their maintenance and features, consideration of process of introduction and evolution of teaching of disciplines of Slavic studies within the limits of University, to research of vital way and scientific inheritance of Slavic's scientists and estimation of value of this inheritance for development of domestic and foreign Slavic philology, to lighting the place of University of Sainted Vladimir, as a leading cell of science of Slavic studies on Ukrainian earths, on a background common development of Slavic philology in the Russian empire. The review of teaching of courses of Slavic studies is conducted in work; changes are analyzed in their list and maintenance. Considerable attention is spared research of person of Slavic's scientists the figures of which did not get the accomplished study is in previous literature. Present historiography sources are comprehensively analyzed from Slavic philology: monographs, reviews, critical reviews, articles, scientific lectures, dissertations and others like that. Separate attention is spared influence of political and ideological factors on forming and evolution of Slavic philology in University of Sainted Vladimir which long time had the special status and specific tasks among other educational establishments of the Russian empire.
