Emotiogenetic potential of concept VAMPIRE in language and speech. The aim is the analysis of concept VAMPIRE as emotiogenetic phenomenon of the world and English culture in language and speech. The methods are descriptive-interpretational, linguistic modelling, historical. Having analysed concept VAMPIRE as a culturological phenomen, narrative, compositional and lexico-semantic means of creative emotive tension in novels about vampires were described. The paper suggests an independent observation, generalization and explanation of one of archaically used concepts. The results can be employed in the courses of lingvoculturology, genrology, text interpretation, lexical semantics. The sphere of usage - higher school.
