Essay

The object of research is the life way of historian V.A. Diadichenko, his inheritance and it place in modern historiography. The aim of research is to research the life way and scientific activity of V.A. Diadichenko as historian of Ukraine in complex and systematical. The methods of dissertatione are historically-comparative, of clasificatione and systematizatione, periodizatione, chronological and retrospectione. The theoretical and practical importance is that the main results of dissertatione can be used for write historiographical works; during creating biographical and bibliographical reference books; during creating training appliances.This dissertation is the first comprehensive work on the life and scientific work of V.A. Diadichenko (1909 - 1973) - who was one of the famous representatives of Ukrainian and Soviet historiography. On basis of our research of his creative legacy, new materials, which we found in the archival depositories and other kinds of sources, which were published before,we analyzed all aspects of the scientific activity of V. A. Diadichenko as a historian, as a specialist of the history of Ukraine at the second part of XVII - XVIII c. The subject of research is the development of V.A. Diadichenko as historian of Ukraine in the middle of 1920 - 1970-th years. We tried to show all periods of the life and work of scientist. Also we paid attention for the main problems which were in the center of V.A. Diadichenko's attention. His relations with the famous Ukrainian scholars and public benefactors were notable. Also we noticed the role he played in investigation of the history of Hetmansczyna.
