To develop the theoretical-methodological bases of forming of the system of voluntarily medical insurance in the conditions of market economy and work practical recommendations in relation to forming of effective financial mechanism of insurance defence of health. The research methods are analysis system-structural and comparative, statistical groupments, financial analysis, theory of chances and prognostication. Interpretation of notion is first offered insurance defence of health. The simulation model of financing by the insurer of preventive measures is developed.
