Kharchuk O. Phraseoligical Units with Kinesic Component in Modern German: A Semantic and Structural Aspect

This thesis focuses upon the study of semantic and structural aspect of phraseological units with the kinesic component and their functioning in Modern German, the native speakers’ ethnic and cultural specificity being taken into account. The dissertation suggests a comprehensive analysis of the secondary nomination units with the kinesic component. Linguistic and extralinguistic features causing dynamic processes in the field of the phraseological units under research are established and their influence on the development of the analysed units’ semantic structure is revealed. The most typical means of the investigated units’ formation are ascertained. Semantic relations of the units under study are determined. The analysis of the examined phraseological units’ structural and semantic types has been carried out. The patterns of structural and semantic variations of phraseological units with the kinesic component are defined.
