The dissertation focuses on the study of verbal and nonverbal empathy markers which correlate with each other facilitating empatization in dialogical discourse. It is proved that the realization of empathy is due to verbal and nonverbal means through the phase of empathetic understanding, empathetic expression, empathetic communication. Speech actualization takes place in empathetic utterances. In dialogical discourse empathetic utterances are means of discourse strategy realization based on emotional competence of a speaker. Empathy is the global strategy - the strategy of harmonization of interpersonal relations
