Essay

The dissertation is devoted to research of the results of a cryopreserved emryonic nervous cells (CENC) and the bone marrow stromal cells, differentiated in neuroblasts, (BMSC) transplantation in area of the experimental epileptic locus in rats brain. The research was carried out on 203 male Wistar rats with initial low audiogenic convulsive readiness. The epilepsy in animals was replicated by a stereotaxic injection of penicillin sodium solution in the left hippocampus. The appreciable reduction of audiogenic convulsive readiness threshold is marked as a result of penicillin injection in a hippocampus. The alterations in neuromediators ballance in a brain stem were characterized by substantial increase of GABA and serotonin maintenance. The decrease of ?-waves with simultaneous rising of a low-frequency waves is marked in a spectrum of hippocampus electrical activity . Transplantations of CENC and BMSC in range of the epileptic center were characterized by similar influence on morphological changes inoperation zone, changes in the ratio of neuromediators in a brain stem and in the dynamics of hippocampuses electrical activity. The morphological changes in area of the epileptic center after injection of fetal and stromal parentage cellular substrata was characterized by formation of glial cicatrix. The dense cellular accumulation consisting of small spherical cells with a large rounded nucleus was found out in area of transplantation on 10th and 30th day after operation. The cellular elements in a zone of transplantation have been submitted by an astroglia and a small amount of neurones on 60th day after operation. The transplantation of neuroblasts of fetal and stromal parentage resulted in nonperishable and appreciable decrease of GABA and serotonin maintenance in a brain stem of epileptic animals during all term of observation. Changes of electrical activity of hippocampuses after transplantation were characterized by lowering of low-frequency waves (1-2 Hz) rating with simultaneous rising of ?-rhythm power. The research of audiogenic convulsive readiness threshold after transplantation of CENC and BMSC has detected it's substantial increase.
