Tkascheva E. Execution of punishment by correctional and public works.

The thesis is devoted to problems of execution of punishment by correctional and public works. Stated types of punishment are considered as an alternative to imprisonment. Reasons for spreading the usage of correctional and public works are given. On the basis of analysis of legal nature and features of correctional and public works the author concludes that the content of such types of penalty comes only to retribution. Much attention is paid to the process of execution of stated punishments and its essential part - procedure and conditions of their enforcement. Taking into consideration the results of research the main tasks, functions and authorities of criminal inspection executing the correctional and public works are singled out. Attention is also paid to fundamental distinctions in the process of enforcement of indicated types of penalty that illustrates their right to exist independently as two different types of punishment. On the basis of conducted research instructions how to improve legislation and practice of execution of correctional and public works were developed.
