Essay

The object is processes of backscatter from breaking ship waves. The main goal is experimental and theoretical investigations microwave backscatter from breaking ship waves. Results of experimental and theoretical investigations are presented Power, spectral and temporal features of the backscattered signals have been studied. A model of the radio wave backscatter from breaking ship waves is proposed. As has been founded, the backscattered intensity of microwave is controlled mostly by particles of the capillary-spark fraction produced by the breaking wave close to the moving ship. Sphere of use – radiophysics, radiolocation, hydrophysics.
