Phase transformations in Zr-based Laves phase alloys. Determination of fundamental principles of hydrogen influence on the phase-structure transformations in Laves phases based on ZrCr2 compound and issuance of recommendations concerning combined method of improvement their activation properties at the expense of mechano-chemical milling in hydrogen conditions optimisation and carrying out of HDDR process. Differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, metallographic analysis and elemental analysis, thermal desorption method and galvanostatic -method. Fundamental principles of the HDDR process in ZrCr2 compound were determined. Features of the HDDR process in ZrCr2 compound at substitution of chromium by nickel and zirconium by titanium were investigated. Conditions of the thermal treatment in hydrogen are optimized. Combined hydrogen treatment method of alloys based on ZrCr2 compound was proposed. The treatment of Zr-based alloys using above mentioned method decrease number of activation cycles from 20 to 2. Results were recommended for application as a constituent part of the metal hydride electrodes manufacture technological process.
