Essay

Bifidobacteria were isolated from different natural sources. Their identification on the species level with use of wide spectrum of modern microbiological and molecular-genetic methods was carried out. The study of biological properties of isolated strains was carried out. The stimulation of antagonistic and adhesive activity of bifidobacteria in presence of lactulose and glycogen was shown. Probiotic properties of B. longum PM and B. pseudolongum BR were determined. Lactulose and glycogen were proposed as growth biostimulators of these strains, so the use of B. longum PM and B. pseudolongum BR in composition of synbiotics is very perspective.
