The dissertation is devoted to improvement of diagnostics and treatment efficacy of chronic ischemic pancreatitis (CIP) on the background of abdominal aorta (AA) and mesenteric arteries atherosclerosis. CIP has some peculiarities of the clinical manifestations: pain is intensive (72,2%) and extended on whole abdomen, predominated in left hypochondrium (56,7%); pain depends on meal amount (56,7%) and has been decreased after nitrates intake (65,0%). Most of the CIP patients (92,5%) have reduced pancreatic excretory function. Significant changes of blood circulation of CIP patients have been revealed in dopplerography of AA and its branches. Atherogenic lipid profile of blood, decreased blood levels of nitric oxide metabolites are determined in CIP patients. The treatment including glutargin and essentiale N led to the reduction of CIP clinical manifestation, improvement of pancreas and liver functional state, blood lipid profile, circulation in the AA, increase of nitric oxide metabolites blood levels.
