Kindy T. Early sings of alteration of retina in diabetes mellitus (diagnosis, prognosis of course and treatment)

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of the increasing the efficacy of medical treatment of the diabetic patients by the way of the modification of methods of early revealing of the first subclinical sings of diabetic retinopathy (DR) and diabetic nephropathy (DN). The methods of multifixation campimetry (MC) and measuring of urine lyzosomal enzyme activity were improved. It was proved that with the appearance of the first subclinical signs of DN the risk of the progression of DR had increased. The data of MC revealed that 73,2 %±4,5 % diabetic patients without clinical signs of DR had subclinical functional disorders in the central retina. Moreover 38,9 %±8,1 % of them had subclinical signs of DN. Long term monitoring of diabetic patients allowed to confirm that Espa-Lipon increased the efficacy of traditional scheme of medical treatment and improved the functional level of the central zone of retina.
