Dorochina T. Magazine "The liberation way" in the Ukrainian foreign historical and social-political opinion 1948-1991

In thesis work the set of problems, connected with the history of the magazine "The liberation way" in life of Ukrainian Diaspora is developed. Basic factors and pre-conditions of foundation and functioning of magazine are defined. Division into the periods of history of magazine is offered and grounded; basic concepts and priorities of its editorial policy are highlighted. The structure of departments and columns, set of authors and correspondents of the magazine, genre-specific and professionally-disciplinal relation of magazine publications is analyzed. On the pages of "The liberation way" peculiarities and specific features of the Ukrainian history and historiography are covered. Influence of ideological stereotypes, political reasons and personal life experience of emigrants on the recreation of the Ukrainian past is considered. The analysis of professional level of researches and materials published in a magazine is given. Academic discussions on the set of topic issues of Ukrainian history andtheir perception are shown in the publications of the "The liberation way".
