Ivanyuk N. Communicative Functional Characteristics Modern German Verbs of Comparison

The object of the investigation — modern German verbs with explicit/implicit, dominant/undominant seme of comparison. The purpose of the investigation — the highlighting and the analysis of systemic structural peculiarities, discursive syntactic and communicative pragmatic functions of the verbs of comparison, and also their role in determination of type of categorial situation. The methods of the investigation — the field method, the component analysis, the contextual analysis, the oppositional analysis, the transformation analysis. Theoretical results and novelty: the verbs of comparison are analysed in terms of their logical semantic and syntactic valencies correlation; the object of comparison conditions are identified and the verbs of operational comparison are described; the functional – semantic comparison field structure was defined which underlay the typological classification of verbs of comparison; discursive syntactic functions of verbs of comparison are specified. The practical results: the use of the materials, basic positions and conclusions in teaching the German language theoretical grammar and lexicology, in special course of the field theory. The field of application: communicative linguistics.
