English ophthalmologic terminology. The aim is to investigate structural-semantic peculiaries of English ophthalmologic terms and priciples of their systematic orgaization from the point of view of frame semantics. The methods are language modelling, quantitative, frame analysis, conceptual analysis. The cognitive and conceptual analysis of English opthalmologic terminology was carried out for the first time. A new approach to the description of the concrete system of modern English from the point of view of frame was worked out. The usage - in the theoretical course of lexicology and special courses in cognitive terminology studies, in translation and lexicographic practice. The sphere of usage - higher school.
