Essay

The dissertation is devoted to research of the policy of the Great Britain concerning West Armenia in 1914 - 1923. On the basis of the numerous sources the investigator carries out the history of occurrence of the British Armenian policy in that particular period of international relations, a place of West Armenia in the system of the Great Britain foreign policy interests, influence of internal and external factors on process of the Great Britain policy formation. It is proved, that London has not developed a precise rate concerning West Armenia, the British leaders made the decision more likely submitting to a course of events than expecting or planning their consequences. The policy of the Great Britain is considered in a context of the international situation of that time. In the research the view of not only Foreign office is discovered, but also those politicians, whose sights were rather opposite. The influence of the publicity on changes of a rate concerning West Armenia is taken into a deep consideration by the investigator and elucidated in accordance with the main themes of the research.
